Join the thousands of other country music fans from all over the Region celebrating years of real country music by one of the true country music icons. Performing Southern Rock-tinged country music for over five decades, Hank Williams Jr., known by his fans as “Bocephus” brings a collection of hit songs to the Riverbend Music Center stage.
Hank Williams Jr., aka “Bocephus” performs hits such as “A Country Boy Can Survive”, “Family Tradition” and the Monday Night Football Anthem “Are You Ready for Some Football” – A true Country Music Rock Star delivering a unique blend of Authentic Country, Southern Rock and Bluegrass music to multi-generations of music lovers. Hank Jr. recently released a new album that continues the authentic country song writing tradition of storytelling that have always made Hank Jr. a fan favorite. His live show continues to deliver the raw intensity of his #1 hits such as “Born to Boogie” and “Texas Women”. The newest release from Hank Williams Jr. is another dose of the great Hank Jr. music. This latest release of all original songs contains stories of the real people in life and their struggles and their victories. As with all of the music from Hank Jr. the songs are delivered with a real American flavor that fans from around the world can enjoy. Hank Jr. has found himself in some precarious situations as well as getting into all sorts of trouble. Perhaps none as more dangerous as his serious mountain climbing accident in 1975 in which he severely injured his hands in which required several reconstructive procedures. Many people may have thought this would have been the end for Hank Jr., but instead he went back to work, and created some of the best songwriting he has done to date. Hank has won numerous awards from the Country Music Association including Entertainer of the Year. He has also been awarded for his work and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
